There you go:

I was just browsing the internet and came accross a webpage with some interesting pictures of an Optimist Regata that took place last month in Rio de la Plata (Argentina).
I thought the youngest sailneter may like to see them.

I hope you enjoy, Fred.

Here's the website link

And here's a couple of samples:

Those look like some pretty tough conditions for an Opti...those swells are pretty big compared to the Opti boats...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Harvester,

That is very nince of you, I will make sure Fred see that. I am sure he will love to see them...

I didn't get a chance to talk much to him today, and he's already sleeping but tomorrow I will show him.

That is some tough conditions for these kids...real sailors...not pretend to be sailors...I am more and more convinced the kids are the real deal in their little sailboats...for sure

Thank you

Fabulous. I wonder how they can spot the next mark from their low vantage point in those waves.

I remember sailing a Sunfish in 3 feet of chop in Lake Huron, when I was 12... It was pretty exciting. I remember feeling that the boat was in the air more than on the water...

I am going to show them to my kids, former Opti sailors.. I'm curious what they (and Fred) think....

Makes me want to take my little Minto out on the next windy day. Too bad the water here isn't as warm as there.
