New Guy
New guy here. My wife and I are looking into seasonal live aboard in Traverse City, Michigan. We currently live in Green Bay, Wisconsin and have our house and commercial property for sale.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. Even though I have done a lot of small boat sailing over the years, I still have a lot to learn and will be doing a lot more lurking than posting.

Hello Aria,
I'm new here too and sorta in the same boat as you. I live in Lansing, MI and trying to get more experience with eventual plans to live aboard. I've been doing a fair amount of lurking too and have found this forum to be filled with an immense amount of sailing knowledge, definitely humbled.

Welcome aboard Dennis. To answer your question from another thread, I'm certainly not offended by your choice of user name. It's only that I had my present nick for 4 years before getting Aria, that I didn't use it.

Aria and sifucarl,
Welcome to Sailnet! It's good to see that the number of Great Lakes sailors on Sailnet is growing.
Traverse City is a great place to live (or liveaboard!). Lots of great sailing, friendly people, ammenities and beautiful scenery.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
