I was in the Maryland area.

Was wondering if anyone here was docked near by? I wish I would have posted this early last week if there is. Me and the wife were in her sisters wedding there. It was blowing about 30 knots Sunday Morning. Nice big White Caps! I would have liked to go sailing that day, we had the whole family with us most of them thing I am nuts about getting a boat. My dad always liked rough weather, he said it would have been to cold for him. But I know if he had the chance to go out he would have went...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

We stop a number of times in the summer there on trips either to Solomons or St Michaels. We are at the end of the Patapsco (Rock Creek) (the river heading up to Baltimore inner harbour. Herrington Harbor has two great marinas North and South and a good restaurant. It also has a very large sail boat contingent.

I know I would love to put mine there when I get it but it would take me 5 hours to get there on the weekends every time. I cant move yet it would cost to much right now for me. I have 5 years left where i am at until I can move. I have a son soon to be out of high school he lives with his mom, I am in school through work so I have to stay there for 3 years after school. So it is slowly coming together. I will have to stick to Erie for now its only 2 hours away. I am always trying to bumb rides from anyone!
