I'm afraid I see a problem here Alex. With Luis' eyes on the camera the way they are, instead of a winchman, you may have an (shudder) actor in the making.

Yeah, but then you'd have to worry about drugs, fast women and brokerback cowboys.

OK....I'll tell him to look at the sails not the camera...thanks for keeping things in prespective...

Rather poor and with a life than rich and no life...I guess...

But the 601......well....maybe Fred gets it for me...he doesn't look at cameras...he's collected

He's allways checking stuff and looking at sails, wind, heading, compass, trim...you name it...

He's all business this one....

I really don't know what to say.

You showed a great deal more compassion and patience for this young man's situation than I would have (Note to Sailnet do-gooders: We talk on the phone!) and while you took a light-hearted approach to a bad problem, you hardly took advantage of it to mock him. If anything, you were making fun of the reluctance of any "official" person or organization to address a situation that could have killed this sick young man or destroyed his boat and the boats of others.

People who are not fully apprised of the details of these sort of matters should shut the hell up. The fact is that guy chopping up his father's boat was a menace to himself and others. Posting about it in a foreign language on an American website affected him in no way.
