Whos been to the Megadock at Charleston City Marina?.....

We stayed there for a weekend on Lola a few weeks ago. Thats a tall damn dock. Nothing like having the deck at dock level.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Been there. The most fun I had was going over to the fuel pumps and seeing the amounts of money that were shown on the dials after a fill. Well over $2000 wasn't uncommon (and that was a couple years back!!!!). Very nice marina.

I spent a couple of nights as the last boat on the end (on the inside). It's a long walk to the restrooms from there! Lots of big, expensive yachts along there when I stopped, and the prices on the fuel pumps as I walked by were mind-boggling.

I'd only stay there again if I needed to reprovision, as they do have a free shuttle that will take you to Harris Teeter.
