All Inclusive vacation deals?

Have any of you been or know of a all inclusive vacation that might have any sailing on a cat or day sailors on the beach? The wife wants to go the week of Thanksgiving and come back on Thanksgiving day! I think it would be a good idea. It would be cool to find a catamaran charter in the Caribbean that would take you out in a storm would be a plus. I wonder how these 60 foot cats would handle in 50 mph winds.

yes

Went to the DR a few years ago. Resort had a few Hobie Cats. Check the brochures, lots of the resorts have small sailboats. I forget the name of the one I went to might have been one of the Melia? chain. Food was great, booze was second rate except for the beer.

We've been to several all-inclusive beachfront resorts, most with free access to Hobies off the beach. In Playa Del Carmen, on the Yucatan - I would recommend RIU Palace and the Iberostar Quezal and Tucan.

We also combined scuba diving from their beachside scuba centers - where small and fast boats pick divers up from the beach and whisk them out to the reefs.

Of course, all food and libations are also included - best deals going for a tropical luxury vacation.

Just returned from Melia Caribe in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The resort was a little on the big side, but otherwise highly recommended. They had probably 5 or 6 hobies, two sunfish and a number of windsurfers for general use. The winds were very consistent while we were there.

And they did serve top shelf booze, you just had to ask for it.

I have a membership in a club (Viva Wyndham) with 9 locations throughout the Caribe. I love it, carefree relaxed vacation. Boats on the beach include American 14's and Hobies.

Don't mean to bust your bubble but no reputable charter operator is going to take you out in a 50 knt blow/storm. Your weekly rate isn't worth the liability.

My vote goes to the Bitter End Yacht Club on Vigin Gorda http://www.beyc.com/ with everything to sail from Hobies to IC24s and much in between. Take a look.

Must agree with the UGLY CAT above. Nobody is taking you out in 50 knots.

Doesn't Sunsail have exactly this? I know someone does. You stay at their resort on shore and there are boats available that you can take out for daysails or overnighters. If it isn't Sunsail, I think it is still one of the big charter companies.

I was looking into the Sunsail Club Colonna Resort in Antigua. They let you day-sail some 30' Dufours (for a fee, of course), as well as have a whole slew of dingies and Hobies.

Our budget is only like 3,600, so it looks like there is no sailing resorts that cheap and we are trying to go the week of thanksgiving.
