Some of you may recall the mega-yacht Legacy being stranded near Key West by hurricane Wilma in 2005 and the owners struggle to remove her from the reefs...EPA/NOAA interference...etc. Well...the boat is finally off the bottom thanks to her stubborn owners' persistence.
Here's the original story and the latest news:
State: Deep pockets and his 'Legacy'
After two years of trying, Legacy floats free

On a completely different note...here's a rather lengthy but well written and interesting piece on a sailors struggles with his Fischer/Panda DC genset which slams FP pretty well (and is NOT out of synch with other stories I've heard)....but the story is more valuable to anyone considering a DC generator...and with new electric engines and hi-speed battery charging in the years ahead...perhaps there are some good lessons here for buying any brand genset.
