Seasickness

I recieved a phone call from my ex recently, expressing wishes that she would like to go sailing, I said sure when?, where? (thinking she might be re-kindling an old flame). NOT with you with my new partner she replied . Oh right, well what do you want to know? Well she said neither of us know much about sailing (Not gonna argue there remembering the "Incident") and we wanted to take my dog with us (medium sized rat like thing) and Knowing you sail for a living and have sailed for a while (Get to the POINT). I wanted to know if it (the Rat) would get seasick. So i thought about and realising i'd never crewed with a dog, I told her i don't have a F***ING clue. So do they? and if yes is it cureable? (sorry about this thread but she urgently needs to know )

Sure they do, but you don't have to tell her.

Now stay on topic DR!

Some do, some don't. But, fortunately, none of our dogs ever upchucked their biscuits on any of our boats . . . and we've had a few - boats and dogs.

I would guess though, that if the Rat ever puked all over the ex's car seats, then it's likely it'll do the same on the boat.

Mop Dog pukes up walking across tilted lawns...Labrador use to in the car...but now dosent...They are much like humans in tolerance and acclimation to motion...Some no trouble some hate it...some get use to it some never do...

She will find out only by taking them...

Don't know, mine falls asleep immediately on leaving the slip and doesn't wake up until we tie up again. From the sounds of your post I'd tell her hell no and let her deal with it.

I'm a little confused...do you WANT her to know the truth?

How acrimonious was your break-up?

SimonV will become famous soon enough
If I was telling my Ex this I would say A good helping of spaghetti bolognaise, at best a good feed, it will keep the dogs stomach settled.

That should create a lovely contrast with the white decks, while adding a delightfully aromatic fragrance to the cabins. Good show old chap.
