UP-TO-DATE water depth/chart information

Where can a person get up-to-date information for charting?

A nearby river was dredged lately but the new information's not on charts yet.

Where I'm docking, I've heard that the area's also been dredged and I need the new data to see if my 4' draft will clear.

The Army Corps of Engineers is the authority for maintennance dredging of the US waterways. Here's a link to their mapping site...but they also keep very detailed soundings of "at risk" channels as a result of their soundings program that I've used to get through areas where dredging is needed. BoatUS forums East coast alerts sometimes carries links to ICW projects here in the East from the Army Corps...but I'm not sure where exactly you ould go for your neck of the woods...perhaps an email to your district corps would get the right link.
All dredging projects must be approved by them even if private. They should have the dredging plan and permit on record for your marina if not actual soundings.

You can get up-to-date info on the web from the Corps of Engineers. Here are a couple of examples.
