I have some used but good sails...

The sails came off of a seafarer 24'. The are in good shape, honestly they look new to me. What do you think I can sell the sails for? I have a main, jib, and a asymmetrical spinnaker?

And does anyone need these sails on here??

Steve

Selling old sails

Use ebay. I have sold many sails on ebay over the years, and have always received a very good price. I describe the sails honestly and take a lot of photos, and have at times got prices so high I feel like apologizing to the buyer! I sold a C27 sail I was literally going to throw away for a couple hundred dollars. I sold my 20+ year old main and jib two years ago for more than half the cost of my new main and jib. You won't get anywhere near the money from a used or consignment outfit that you will get by selling it on ebay.

Yeah, eBay has a strange tendency to inflate prices of things well over their actual value. I think it's the "game" of winning the auction.

Corollary to selling your sails on eBay -- don't buy sails or boat stuff on ebay unless you really know you're getting a deal.

sails

I'm going to take the sails out again and get exact measurments on them. Expesially the spinnaker for you. From what I know the Main sail is 22' 6" by 9' 6". The jib is the same size I believe. The Spinnaker I'm not possitive on.

Thanks for the help guys, if I have trouble selling the sails this week I'll try ebay. So far I've gotten a lot of bites.
