Sailing ........ sorta
Left the South River this morning, headed for New Bern. Once on the Nuese, I rolled out the jib and was cranking out a whopping 4.5 knots, with the occasional 5. Now, I'm ghosting along at a sedate 2.5 - 3 knots, hoping the wind .... which for once is blowing in my favor .... will pick up to the forecast of 10 - 15. Somehow though, I find it unlikely. Could take all day to go a mere 25 miles. Oh well, no motor noise, no using 4 a gallon fuel, and a peaceful easy jaunt. Life is good!

Enjoy your day John, sounds euphoric . . . unlike mine at the moment, scrambling to meet a design presentation deadline.
I'm going sailing with the new owner of my old boat tomorrow though.

Hey John! I'm headed to the coast next weekend hopefully. I've been away from the boat for way too long. Plus i gotta work on the pier some and figure out that mooring setup. Will you be around for a while?

Yeah, I'll be around. Stopping at Whittiker Creek Monday to look at a boat for xort, then I'll probably head over to South River. If I can, I'll try to get on the Town Dock Friday.
