~~That Great Texas Coast~~

It's so beautiful!!
I just got back from a 700 mile road trip of the Texas coast. I was ISO God's plan for my life.
Only regret??? I was Not, sailing.

ok ok, here's the scoop. I broke up with my boyfriend. I determined not to do the things to him that he did to me like bad mouthing me to the world.
When you love somebody, really love somebody. You just don't do that. Dirty laundry remains with best friends, so it can get clean.

It's obvious to me that there is no "Man" for me. So you know what that means???

I get to have boucoup's loads of friends.

No sex=
No heartbreaks! =
No problems,
No kidding.

That's the life for me. All that remains are the True Friends. The real stuff.

NE whoo..

Sorry to hear it Walker. that Texas drive is a nice one as i was born & raised in Houston, left when i was 18 but stomped much sand there. hold that head high and enjoy your newly acquired freedom. i dumped a former past that did nothing but bad mouth and try to humiliate also! Life is good now! remember, you're not the loser here

ICW along the TX coast

So beautiful, did I already say that??
I only went as far as Point Comfort, but for those who have not ventured so far in your vessel, I can only tell ya this;

The ICW bridges.. are great! I don't know the exact clr height, (they are really up there) but I'm sure you can find out for yourself. The only drawbridge I came across (now I traveled on land), was the one that took me to the prettiest TX beach I have seen so far. On FM 2031, is Matagorda Beach. It's at the Lower Colorada River. It's a small beach, but it is g o r g e o u s!! Very Clean. the LCRA takes very good care of it.

They also have a wonderful campground there too.

Did I say ISO "God's Plan" for my life... not anyone elses?? It only stands to reason...

Thanks Pirate! I appreciate you, your kindness, more than you know. Yeah, I am Houston raised, I love stomping sand here!! But at the same time, I want more...

Hi Bwalker,

Gotta love that Matagorda Beach!! Best beach in the whole state IMHO. I love that campground too. I am glad you had a chance to enjoy it too while there. Not much to do but beach comb, fish and eat lots and lots of jumbo shrimp. ummmm We do the sailing and RVing thing and that park is our favorite. It is a cool bridge you have to cross. One day soon that will all be gone. That new bridge will be up and running pretty soon.
Glad you had a good trip.
Philip

FWP,
Is Matagorda Beach a part of Padre Island National Park?

I'll be at San Luis Pass the next few days trying to get a few of the last trout for the season. This time I'll stay away from the powder sand . . . expensive mistake last time.

Texas is beautiful isn't it?

Is it north of Corpus? The Texas coast is nice, but not as nice as Florida between Ft. Walton and Panama City...from a beach perspective. I am not sure about fishing.

Hey Charlie,

When I was up in your neck of the woods a friend took me to a town called Poulsbo. What a beautiful place!!! Lots of sailboats!
