Many thanks to all the mods for their moderation. You're so mod! Hey, wait a minute, there were three in the MOD Squad. Looks like a contest or something to associate each mod here with the original MOD squad.

Lets see, there was Link, was the chick Julie? No fair peeking at Wiki...

Im pretty thin skinned myself and wount last long around here without your steerage so Keep up the fight...Thanks to both of you..

I also agree you should speak you views whenever you desire..you are imposing that restriction on yourself for undue reason me thinks..

Lastly...I have already met some great people here that someday would hope our paths would cross...And I have benefited materially from some of your friendships if you will alow me too call them that..
Take erps ( Ray ) he led me to finding my slip right next to his...or Giu (Alex) we will be related once our kids marry..

Cam and CD we have you to thank for what we have here probably more then Sailnet for with out your steerage who knows what this site would look like...
Well, SA isn't that bad once you get past the "f%&* off, Newbie" greeting to your first post. After that you only get flamed occasionally, and there's some good stuff there.

But so also is there here, and new posters don't have figure out that the flames are all in good fun, some get that, some don't...

Great job guys. I think you've maintained a good balance. There is something here for just about everyone and a sense of community as well. Whenever someone complains about the cooking in our house, they end up cooking the next meal. See if any of the habitual complainers want to moderate and you may see an improvement in their appreciation level. I can't imagine how many hours you guys put in. Glad you do it though.

Without moderators there would be no sailnet. Thank you CD and Cam for all your efforts to benefit us all.

I feel I have learned more than I have been able to share, but that's what brings a lot of us here. Without your all's help Id'd still be trying to figure out how to organize my disaster of a reefing set-up or trying to choose the best sealant for some of my spring chores.

All I can say is I'm real sorry that some _________ people are spoiling your fun and eradicating the enjoyment you feel. It only takes one to make you feel like it is not worth it. But I want you to know they are not important. They are like gnats. It can be hard to ignore them. But the real sailnet is the people who have come together to share learn and benefit each other.

Thank you very much.

Mods,

If more users were less like you, I would log in less. If more users were more like you, I would log in more.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about your moderation, and your participation.

CD.....most (if not all) of the people who keep this place going, read the posts daily, post occasionally, etc., support the moderators wholeheartedly. I hope you didn't let yourself get too upset before you brought all that stuff to our attention. Nasty calls at home? Jeez. I don't think I'd want your (unpaid) job. Thanks for doing it.

Trueblue,
What I was referring to as gnats are the people CD referred to going beyond the bounds of reason. Such as personal attacks, calls to the house, pornography etc. Thats not how your supposed to play the game.

There will always be some people that you cannot please. So be it. Hence my tag line. The best way to deal with this is to not let it get the best of you and mess up your head. CD and Cam as moderators have to make a number of decisions. Some will be less controversal than others.

I was not very clearly trying to tell CD to chill, let it roll off and not react in haste. Gnats are a generic term I use for jetskis, annoying but not too important in the overall scheme of things. Unitl I developed or learned that attitude I wanted to shoot them. The jetskis - not CD or Cam.
