Giulietta Sailing Techniques Catching-On

We all know how Giulietta sails Giulietta with a bit of a heel, and he says reefing only will make the boat slower, well, this go-fast high-heeled sailing style of keeping the boat at 55+ deg of heel is starting to catch-on with the big boat race boys, look at this this IMOCA 60 trying to be like Giu:

From SA Front Page

Giu, they could use a few pointers on keeping the keel in the water though!

There is also a fin near the centerline looks like just behind the keel. looks like fun to a degree. tonight should be fun with 15-25 knot winds outside right now!

Are you not joking?? Sorry I laughed form you...I didn't mean..sorry, please don't be offended.

Those are vertical blades that are hoisted so the boat still has some vertical keel when heeled..

See here..the view from the deck on another boat..this one a VO

The chanels where they run are isolated, so water doesn't get in, its the thing to my left shoulder

That's the saildrive and the folfing prop. Or sometimes they have a retractable saildrive.

The dagger boards make sense for the outside fins, I was wondering where they were when I first look at photo, and sail drive also makes sense for the center fin, that is hidden by the canting keel. I guess when one does not see the bottom of boats like this, one is not sure what they are looking at.

Thank you for the explanations.
