Ried hit 380 days still out there. I sure couldn't do it...

Still...you're right...if nothing else he has shown perseverence. With the sails in shreds though, I see no hope of him completing even once around though he can probably bob around the south pacific interminably. Is it just me or has anybody else sensed an even wierder tone to his messages lately?
By the way...Soanya was interviewed for an hour recently and is on U-Tube. I defy anyone to sit through the whole thing!

If you go back thru his blog, take a look at April 10, where he talks about the liferaft his ex-wife gave him that day before they left (might want to test that, Reid). I laughed out loud at that one. I skimmed back a bit because his most recent blog posts refer to "we" vs. "I" (as in the plural). Doesn't look as though he's taken on a second mate, but is just referring to himself and the boat as the collective "we" -- he might be talking to his sprout garden and cheese provisions for all I know.
