Talking The Weekend Thread! What's up for the weekend?

Thought I'd try this again, love to see what people's plans are!

I am scheduled to sail all day tomorrow to continue practicing and get out on the water. Check out the forecast:

GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON

N WINDS 25 TO 30 KT...DIMINISHING TO 20 TO 25 KT LATE. GUSTS UP TO 40 KT. SEAS 7 TO 10 FT. RAIN IN THE MORNING...THEN RAIN LIKELY IN THE AFTERNOON.

This is part of a class, so I don't know if they'll cancel. I might sail again Sunday, we shall see

The worste part about that is the 7 - 10 foot seas.
Of course getting on and off the dock in a 30knot crosswind is always a challenge! LOL!

Luckily the 7 foot sees are outside of the harbor, inside the harbor they it is more like 1-2 foot seas, and 4-7 foot sees at the harbor entrance! I want to sail tomorrow either way, it's fun when the wind is blowing especially when you have the safety of the harbor to return to!

Moving next week. So, it's all packing for me. Got out after work last Wednesday, though. And next Wednesday is the first race of the year.

The admiral and I are going to meet another sailnet couple for drinks and a peek at Ego Alley here in Annapolis tonight.
Off to Pa for Step-mom day tomorrow, maybe (doubtful) sailing on sunday.
Rain and nastiness forecast all weekend.

Heading off straight after work this afternoon, sailing 25 miles to a nearby Marine Park in Howe Sound. Will be met by several boats from our club in Squamish and then participate in the SQ YC sailpast.
All the way home (likely upwind in 10-20 for the first 20 miles) Sunday. Weather doesn't look too bad.....

What harbor? MH, Salem, Gloucester? I plan on going out on Sunday, when seas are only 3 to 5 feet. Tomorrow I got to do some clean-up work on the boat.

I think with 7 -10 foot seas and the wind piping close to 30 knots w/guts up to 40, it's going to be a very wet and rough no matter where you are.
