You're better off not posting a photo... we have an insane portagee member who tends to photoshop photos people post... and not for the better.
BTW, sent you a PM.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Hey...I'm a writer too...really...I have 2 blogs....both here at sailnet....
Professionally I wrote already over 180 reports...all over 50 pages they also have charts, tables, recommendations, fancy calculations and each is sold very expensively.... etc...
So I guess I am a writer too...just like you....PFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
look me on the net...google Clancy, Tom...I have a few pages too...
(well this last bit wasn't true..but the world is full of crap and BS artists..isn't it??)
Yep, some responses are needlessly sarcastic. I would have looked at it diffferently had the post been "I am an author" as that implies having been published, but this was a good query posted in the right place.
If you googled Kristene, you'd see she is actually a published author. Believe she took second place in a Writer's Digest Short Story competition last year, and is currently in the Spring 2008 issue of StoryTeller Magazine.

Perhaps we take ourselves too seriously? bajagirl used to make her livelihood as a stunt woman; I've a sneaking suspicion that the girl can take a bit of kidding from the likes of us. Besides, when the NYT is gushing over the realism found within her best-selling castaway novel, the joke will be upon us.

Awe shucks! Thanks for coming to my defense. No worries, though. After you hit the ground a few hundred times, jump out of the way of speeding cars, and fall off high places, not much bugs you anymore. I'm all about positivity.
Got the PM's, thanks, and will respond later today - slow internet, limited bandwidth.
Sailaway, you may enjoy the Coconut Chronicle I just posted.
LOL... I have stored away somewhere an Andersen Jacobsen Acoustic Coupler 110 Baud modem. It's a wooden box that looks a lot like a cigar humidor, and when you open the lid, you see a set of rubber cups that are designed to fit around the mouthpiece and earpiece of a Ma Bell telephone handset.
