How to avoid Huge Ships!

Yes there is a real book, came third in the strangest book title of the past 30 years.

Greek Postmen top oddest book title list - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

I particuarly liked one of the reviews on Amazon. Arrgh! If only I had read this book 'fore I left part, I wouldn't be writing this review from Davey Jones's Locker! Arrgh! .

someone gave it 2 stars and commented:

Hard to put into practice

"I have read this book three times and I am still running into HUGE ships. I feel like I understand the concepts detailed in the book, but seem not to be able to apply them while on the water."

more:

Lacking essential information

"This book lacks criteria for discerning between huge ships and merely really big ships. Some well-designed lists, charts or colorful pop-up sections would have been nice for readers who were unsure what size of ship they were avoiding."

You can avoid big ships by either staying in the middle of the Sahara Dessert or in the middle of a mill pond. But the mill pond you could come up against big logs...

Oooh. I have GOT to get this book. I haven't started cruising yet but from the sound of it, avoiding HUGE ships can be pretty tricky. Never mind avoiding the REALLY BIG ships. That might take it's own volume.

But wait which version should I get? The paperback or hardcover?

How to avoid big or huge ships is to
#1 buy the biggest one out there and everyone will avoid you..
#2 Put 20 BBQ's on the rail like someone we all love here and the blinding reflection will make all the other boats think that boat is radioactive and thus avoid.

Ships are pretty and safe at dockside but not what they are built for.

go to youtube and dial in "ship collisions." You will find a ship that is moored to a pier and another one comes along and hits it big time...
So your logic is faulty...big time...
Sorry about bringing it to your attention......

Or when the ferry from Port Angles Wash. to Victoria B.C. loses controls and plows into the all of those boats tied to their floating piers. Oops Faulty Logic again... Sorry...So were the owners of those boats.
