mrsadm,

Your marina sounds like one we visited in eastern Connecticut - couldn't believe the tablesaws and grills at each powerboater's slip.

In contrast though, of the 400 boats at our marina last season, there were about 150 PBs and it was by far, the sailboat owners that rarely went out - yours truly excepted - we preferred sleeping on the hook than at the marina each night.

Regardless, we all got along - without much Pb vs SB stereotyping. Perhaps we got along because in addition to sailboats, I've owned several powerboats in the past. It's tough scubadiving and fishing coastal waters in a keel-boat.

The segregation comes from the PB asswholes who, like someone mentioned earlier, go out of their way to wake sailboaters. They are few and far between on Narragansett Bay however . . . fortunately.
