Packrat is on a distinguished road
My New Lady

It has finally happened. I am the proud owner of a 1985 Ericson 32. I can’t believe it. It has been a long process. 1st figuring out what I wanted in my price range (low). Then I had to search all over CA for something that’s still able to float in that price range. Finally I had to get up the courage to make the plunge (Offer-negotiation-agreement). I’ll have to put in a few thousand to get it up to very good condition but I love that boat already! The owner gave me a lot of gear with her. A fattyknees dinghy with the air tubes, sails and gear and a new drogue (much more too). He had set it up for cursing but didn’t go. The money is well spent. I was out for a while in San Francisco bay on Sunday. What a joy. I just wanted to share the excitement with you sailors. Thanks.
P.S. Her new name is Sea Queen!

Congrats on the new boat, nothing like new boat ownership. Have fun on the Bay.

Congrats - a friend has a similar model, very nice indeed and they are very happy with it.

Enjoy!

I spent the first 15 years of my life on an Ericson 29' (70's vintage). That extra few feet would have been a God send given our crew of my Mom, Dad and two older brothers. A great boat. Enjoy! I'll look for Sea Queen on the Bay.

Thanks folks! I'm at Sausalito Yacht Harbor Best Friend, right near Marotta Yachts where I bought her. Great area. And I will post some photos when I take some better ones. And Vitesse, say hello any time, I would like to meet some sailors in the bay. We drive from the sac area & dont know many peps there. My wife is Thai and has little experence with sailing and less confidence in mine!
