Gale Force Wildwind 20
Can anyone provide me with info on this boat? My grandfather had one, now my dad's got it, and there's a possibility I could be using it here in SWFL in the moderate future. Lot of good memories on the lake in this boat.
I have tried searching the internet for info on this boat, to see if it would be a decent boat for us (my wife and I are taking sailing lessons now, on a Freedom 21 and Santana 20), and just general info on a boat that's been in our family for a while.
I know the following:
-20' centerboard boat
-sloop rig, main, jib, 120 gennoa, spinnaker (no spinnaker pole yet)
-points better than the Freedom!
-seemed to be more directionally stable than the Santana
-No traveler or cunningham, just the mainsheet
-definitely like the running rigging better than the Santana (winch and cleat positions.)
Our sailing would be centered around the Caloosahatchee River, maybe up to Captiva or Charlotte Harbor on a long weekend.
Any information you can provide would be appreciated!!
