Lightning

As a new owner of a 26'' MacGregor, in Arizona, we have a lot of desert storms come up in the summer. How much concern should I have for a lightning strike on one the the lakes here? We plan on camping and anchoring on most of the lakes here. By the way, does anyone have a good story about this?
