Inflatables have their attractions. I've never heard that rowing prowess is one of them.

sorry about that. I meant to say we DEflate the dinghy, roll it up and stow it in the foreward cabin. We have a six hp outboard and she will plane with three adults.

We're talking about a 27' boat here... stowing a hard 9' 4" dinghy on it would be a neat trick.

AND it will hold A BUNCH....Under $500.00 but you'll have to buy a motor.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Anyone for 3 boat Monty? Step right up, step right up...

I actually have a bizarre idea for a larger boat. How about a "second skin" for an above cabin deck? It might need an insert to cover a companionway, but other than that, lining up windows with windows might be a pain, but maybe worth it. The mast could be an issue (DUH!) that required some thought. This is probably something that could be designed in and built in production numbers a lot easier than retrofitted, so I am not sure who I am speaking to (besides myself).

December And Snowing!

Just a follow up. Got the white Portland Pudgy and towed it on 2 250mi. weeklong sailing vacations. Works super. Had 4 adults in it and supplies, once during torrential downpour at night while returning from M.V. We even got the stowable sail, though it hasn't been used yet. It is tough as a tank and an eye catcher. Had a Mer. Marine engineer row over to it at the mooring and remark how 'someone knew what they were doing in making that!' So we are happy and thanks for the suggestions.
