Marine GPS for Palm?

I use my Palm Treo 700 for many things, and I am wondering if I can also use it as a marine GPS. There are add-ons units for it that provide GPS with street navigation for land use, but I would be interested in using it as a marine navigation instrument as well. Anyone have experience or suggestions? Thanks

ActiveCaptain, is marketing a program that will interface with a bluetooth gps (and possibly other styles). For charting, it uses NOAA raster charts if you're in the US. Outside the US, they plan on having a facility by which one can import other raster-style charts. You can get a limited trial, registration costs $50. It works for me with my Palm T/X and a $50.00 bluetooth gps based on the Sirf III chipset, although it seems designed with the Treo in mind.
