We had an hour of really good wind, like 12kts or so, and we were chasing a San Juan 7.7 and a Catalina 30 up and back down Buffalo Harbor, we were ok when the wind was up, they would only slowly pull away, but when the wind died they were gone. It was fun. Maybe we'll go back out for an evening sail, the wind is back up right now...
Yes I only have one turn on the winch, we really don't even need it, and yes my bumpers are still over the side, that's just how we do it on Lake Erie

We went and got her a new camera (if you remember, I dropped her Canon SD1000 in the lake) we replaced it with an SD1100. Then we went for an evening sail and it was perfect, I had never sailed this late. It's so nice having graduated from trailer sailing to having a slip, you can go whenever you want.
