Alex' last post left some doubt as to whether it was indeed Alex' last post.
If I am not mistaken, he got back on and changed his title to indicate that may be the case. Hopefully not; I always enjoy his posts.

I was (as the trip report indicates) laid low with a cold for much of the trip. It was a truly memorable experience - one I would do again in a heart beat.
