Anybody know of an Atomic 4 For Sale in New England area??

Hey all,

I am in desperate need of a running A4. (I'm about to hang myself from a halyard over this one!) It doesn't have to be pretty but I need one that's RUNNING! I'll even pull it out and transport it.

If you know of one that be gotten for song (and some cash) please let me know. I can't afford a new/rebuilt one.

Thanks as always,

Steve

Ok how about a small diesel for a song and cash? Anybody know of ANY motor for sale. I'm not having much luck finding an A4.

I can't afford new or rebuilt so would prefer a used running motor, I can even pull it. put the feelers out around your marinas and boatyards PLEASE!

Thanks,

Steve

I saw that one too, $2500 is way too much for a take-out, 4 grand is about right for the rebuilts though.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Thats exactly what I'm looking for a running takeout for $700, that works for me. If I can't find one closer soon I may be taking a drive to maine!

Thanks!

No problem. I thought about buying it as a spare, but it's too much money for that. Sounds perfect for your application.

I am not sure that a 1959 Atomic 4 engine is considered an early or pre-historic model by Moyer Marine. It is definitely not a 'late' model unless it is no longer working! Sounds like you would have to pull this engine out of a boat that was crushed by a tree! They should pay you to take it!

This is a long shot.... There is a boat repair yard on Rt, 236 north of the IBH boat yard and on the other side of the road, in Eliot Maine which has a trashed sailboat in it. I know the yard owner got the boat for free. I think it has a "4" in it. I have no idea the condition or even if the yard owner would sell it. I'll check it out and if there is a chance it could be got... I'll IM you.
