Inane methodology of boat improvements

1. Battery charging; Bring your thread mill from home and attach it to the alternator on boat and start walking. Thus charging your batteries.

2. Using same Thread mill hooked up to your propeller shaft and start walking.
Think of all the fuel costs you will save.

3. Use Venetian blinds for sails. If the wind gets heavy then all you will have to do is open them, letting the wind blow through the slots in the blinds.

Now With YOUR Thinking Cap On, Please come up with some more INANE methods of boat improvements!? This is a challenge!

I believe in carrying a backup battery-powered fan like this one so that if I do get caught out on a day with no wind and cannot start my engine I will at least be able to generate sufficient wind to make it back to a safe harbour.

Putting a large fan on the boat to blow more air across the sails therefore increasing speed on calm days.

(Darn, Zanshin types faster...)

Best boat improvement ever:

Put a woman in a bikini (or less) in your cockpit and who cares about wind or motors or battery charging.

On those becalmed days, just have a topless woman stand on the bow and flag down a passing motor boats for a tow. No wind, no problem and zero fuel costs.
Or, like Chuckles wrote " who cares" , the view alone provides plenty of entertainment

Better yet, put a Redhead in a bikini or less ....... And before you can say "sunburn" your hands will be free to apply that lotion .... and she will be thankful for it !

Bikini tops are great as cup holders

Borrow one (preferably in use) and see for yourself.

For dead battery start ups, attach fittings to the front of the engine so in case of emergency you can take out the emergency rubber band, wind it up and trip a release to start the motor. With a jackshaft connected to the propeller shaft, you could wind up a big rubber band and just use that to power the boat 100 yards at a time between winding. Be careful winding the rubber band if you have long hair.

A telescoping mast that telescopes in both directions -- you can shoot it into the sea bottom and know that you are very securely anchored.
