Fred and his team are doing pretty good.

Fred's team are the Champions of Portugal!!!! (the infantiles) it's the team that scores not the individual sailor, however the points gotten by the sailors make the team win or lose. More sailors score good the better the team does.
Fred did 18th Overall in last weeks 6 races for the Regional Championship (only score from 5 races count), but together with his buddies, the CNL became the Champion...HE is extremely proud and happy, as you can imagine..next wek he will get his new boat...I'll let him post those.
Fred's classification on the 2 saturday races was LAST!!! He got disqualified on race 1 because he started late (not really his fault, as the comitee decided to race inspite of no wind, and when they announced the 5 minute shot, Fred had drifted to a distance more than 5 minutes from the start and did not start in time, remeber the comitee was setting the buoeys on a power boat!!!)..
RAce 2 affraid he would get to far from the start, stayed near the start, but accidentaly, due to no wind and strong current, hecrossed the start
line before start and got disqualified on a jump start...Saturday he cried a lot...was a disgrace..2 last places..
BUT..Sunday...they did the remaining 4 races and Fred scored well enough on all 4 to get an 18th place...not bad at all...considering he lost 2 with max score..
