SD and Other Catophiles...
Here's one for the dreams: photos taken 30mins ago from my cockpit.
The white hulled cat in the foreground is really big, the blue one is MASSIVE. I figure it's 60-70ft long and over 30ft wide! That dinghy on the back is probably 10ft. The mast is one of the top three tallest in the marina of 2000 mostly sailboats.

Umm... I'm not a catophile... I sail a trimaran.
BTW, that white one looks like its going to slam horribly, since it doesn't seem to have much clearance under the bridge deck.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

My bad. So you sail a "Cat-and-a-half" eh? I am not so fortunate, only being able to afford half of a cat.
What do you mean by slam?

Hey Med - I thought dogs go after cats. I would have made the same mistake. Cat, tri... what's the difference.
REAL MEN SAIL MONOHULLS!!

PS Cannot wait until Chuckles see this. I am sure I will receive some thoughtful remark if he does.

The structure that connects the two hulls is called a bridgedeck. If it doesn't have sufficient clearance underneath, waves will hit it...slamming into it and making a lot of noise, and in serious cases structural damage to the boat.
