Carbon fiber mast

Does anyone know who builds and sells carbon fiber masts? I would like to know what one would cost for a 25 ft. daysailer.
Thanks,
Mark L.

First off, is it really necessary? I used some in a race car, and boy was that expensive. Crack, break, chip say bye-bye.
Are you racing? The need for a lighter mast is important there, but if it''s just to pleasure sail, stay with the aluminum. Check out the Sailnet metal fabrication shop. They have a toll free number. Call them.
Personally, I think the mast will cost more than 2 daysailers.

Carbon fiber mast

I would have to concurwith the rest of the jury, unless your daysailor is extremelyt high performance or extremely tender, the small amount of weight savings vs the really high cost of a spar would suggest that it would not begin to make sense on a 22 foot daysailor.

But if you must investigate this one more name to consider is Southern Spars- www.southernspars.com I believe that they are one of the largest producers of carbon spars worldwide. My 18 year old aluminum spar was made by them and the workmaship is impressive.
