Theres a guy near me that puts a Mac 26 in every weekend, the mast looks like its bent back way too far. Never seen the sails go up on it.

that is the second ugliest thing i've ever seen. the first being the mac 26 motorsailor. sad thing is, it'll probably sell like $500 hooker on dollar day.

The Macgregor and Hunter bashing on this site gets so old... Funny sometimes, yes, but pretty darn boorish.

I am not sure why you guys like to bash this genre. No, it's not for me but there is obviously a niche being filled when 2,... (not 1) manufacturers are able to compete in that niche.

Why?? Because it's fun.

You'll see from the picture that the Hunter is even worse as a powerboat than the mac. It takes 75hp to make it almost plane. The mac will plane with a 50. The Hunter press says that it sails in all but the lightest breeze. Does that mean that it's a slug in light wind, and it burns a bunch of fuel digging a trench in the water? Besides, I would hate to have to ski behind a boat that will only do 20 MPH (not knots) I guess the wakeboard crowd will like them. Slow and digs a big ditch. Maybe they can attach the tow rope to the halyard to ge t a little more air over the wake.

I guess it's possible that it's built better than a mac. Maybe.

They will sell these things. There are allot of confused people out there that a boat like this or the mac appeals too. If you don't believe me about confused people, let me know, I will show you around the east village!

I like the look of the Mac more and only 5'10 head room I recall the mac has 6.0. But i think i will hold onto my 25ft 1980s sailboat.
