North American Hurricane Season Upon Us

Just thought I'd start a thread where folks could post a "heads-up" about potential tropical weather that could affect areas in North America.

I noticed this evening that an area of low pressure along the east coast of Florida has been upgraded to "medium probability" of developing into a tropical depression:

And I was planning on going down to the Chessie to do some work on a friends boat near the South River and do an overnight next weekend. Not sure if Cristobel will cause a change in plans causing me to stay on LI and look after my own 2 sailboats in the water. So far 2 active tropical or extra-tropical storms in the Atlantic right now. 'Tis the season.
