Warning!! Tropical Storm Cristobel...SC & NC

If you are in the mid Atlantic and haven't been paying attention there is a Tropical Storm Warning up all along the coast as the depression off Georgia is expected to further strengthen. Not much notice on this one. Winds are currently 35Kts.
Time to get the canvas down and extra lines secured.

That storm has been off the coast of SC for a few days. I been wondering if it would become a named storm.

Very little change in the barometer so far (since noon).

It is named now and winds are 45 with higher gusts. Should be over Hatteras late afternoon tomorrow and winds extend out quite a way so it should be bouncy in the Pamlico and Neuse.

Good luck to all of you guys/gals in the affected areas. Hopefully Cristobel will spin out to sea without any damage to coastal areas.

Barometer has actually risen slightly. A bit of rain overnight, but no noticeable increase in wind here in New Bern.

As of 11am it looks like all the "action" on Cristobal is on the seaward (E/SE) side and that it will impact Hatteras and head out to sea. Latest radar shows some weakening in my view so perhaps we'll be spared a bit on the Outer Banks and up the Neuse.

Nothing happening in New Bern that would indicate Cristobel is having any effect here.

This video clip was from 10am this morning right before we left. The wind had picked up a little and the water was coming up a little but i suspect we won't see much out of Cristobel.
