Need new diesels - NOW!

I have a charter boat in the BVI that has some engine problems. The boat currently has two Perkins 27hp engines. I have decided to replace both while I''m at it, but there is the question of cost. My boat will be out of service while the engine work is done, so I will lose some income too. Here''s my question/concern: Should I just put back Perkins or go with Yanmars? I hear the Yanmars are stronger, but they are also more expensive. Is there really a measurable difference between these two engines? Apparently, either will fit back with little or no changes required. Anyone with personal experience please give me some advice. Thanks!
