Crossing Gulf from Cancun to Galv TX in Dec

I am buying a 37' Iwrin that is located in cancun Mexico. I need to sail it to Galviston TX in Dec. What would be the best way to sail with the northerns coming down. Please help with waypoints and ETA,destance. Thanks
