Sailing for a cure

My friends baby daughter has an inoperable, and presently incurable brain tumor. She is a beautiful little girl. Well her uncle is doing a transatlantic sail to raise funds and awareness for the disease. Since this is sailing related, I thought it ok to post his email message here:

Hello Friend!

Please take a moment check out an AMAZING website, PLGA Quest - Journey for a Cure. It tells about PLGA Quest- Journey for a Cure.

Friends of my friends are bravely sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on a 42’ sailboat to raise funds for the PLGA Research Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. PLGA is a type of pediatric brain tumor for which current treatment options are toxic, ineffective and unbelievably nearly a quarter-century old.

Please consider supporting this worthwhile cause. Any donation you make will help and 100% of your actual donation will benefit PLGA Research at Dana-Farber.

Even if you are not in a position to contribute financially at this time, would you please take a moment and forward this e-mail to your family and friends who may be interested in this cause and/or able to help? (Nothing crazy will happen to you if don’t, but by passing this on you will help raise awareness (and hopefully research funds) for children in desperate need of less toxic and more effective treatment.)

I hope you are well and thank you for helping me to advance this cause!

All the best!
