This weekend is my National Championship races

Hi I have a national Championship this friday, saturday and sunday 5,6 and 7 of september.

It is far away from my house in Viana do Castelo. It is the first race I use my new Optimist boat.

I go with the kids from the club tomorrow on the bus and come back sunday night. Its a big regatta for me.

My dad and mum and Luis go with the car to see the regatta. and stay at the hotel. I stay at the racers club with the kids from the team.

bye now I go to sleep because we travel tomorrow. I am nervos.

I wax my boat tomorrow. After I send pictures

Fred

Best of luck to you Fred! We all know, however you finish, you'll give it all you've got.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Lucky you! a New boat and an Away Race--I am envious--I am stuck inside- sigh- somedays work is worse than school was....

do you like to start all aggressive and make the field fight to catch up? -- or do you stay near that start and scope out your biggest competition? And then, natch , try to blow right by them?

Best winds
