devilfishlane is on a distinguished road
less expensive boat now,,,,??

I'm in my late 30's and have Laser and Hobie cat experience and was thinking of getting a used Gemini 105.(80K- 90K) But at this point , that would be living above my means, and I wouldn't have quite as large a cruising kitty.and a few more worries. So my 2 nd idea was to get something like a Catalina 34 used for around 50K , sail the Bahamas and Caribbean over a broken up 2 or 3 yr period then get something like a Gemini when I have more cash. But I love the cat. idea. for the wife and kid.

Has anyone had these frustrating choices and which way did you go?

Life is short
