Welcome thetao,
suggest you read Saildogs thread re. advice for newbies, afterwards you'll probably be able to be a little more specific as to the info you require.

TheTao-

The post Robby is talking about is the one in my Signature.

If you go to Noonsite.com, they have a lot of information on different cruising areas and countries... and the regulations regarding them. Might be a good place to start.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

LOL.. USP, you're nuts. Nice photo in the other thread on boats btw, though I didn't notice a boat in the photo for some reason.

What kind of info do you need? Here are some photos from 2007:

Panama and San Blas Islands

Here's a good book on Panama, including the San Blas:

The Panama Cruising Guide - 3rd Ed.

The blog (click on "newer post" at the bottom for the next entries):

The Minnow: Panamanama!
