Any New News On Hans Christian Yachts?

Hi Everyone:

I have been on SailNet for a few months now, and in addition to a strong interest in Pacific Seacraft, I also like to follow Hans Christian yachts. I know they have a website still up, and I have talked to the local dealer in the Southern California area, so I know the factory is still open, but has anyone heard of or seen a new Hans Christian built in recent years? There are plenty of used ones for sale on various boat sites, but you never see any listed that are younger than 15 years. Either they are really good and loved by their owners, or the number of new ones built recently is low. Anyone know anything about them now? Any feedback from recent owners of new yachts on how well they like them? Just curious to find out how well the new yard in Thailand is doing from a quality and satisfaction point of view.

I read somewhere a couple years back that Hans Christian no longer produces boats under 65 feet, and if I remember correctly, they no longer produce sail boats at all, only power.

Maybe they sold the name and molds, but there definately is a Hans Christian website up and running, and according to the local California dealer, they are at least building boats for customers in Europe who can make use of the strong Euro at the moment. Just was wondering if anyone who owns one, visits here, and could share their opinions on the brand. They sure look nice. I hear they are built tough. The ones for sale used definately look strong.
