My season is done :(

Boat got hauled out yesterday. Would have loved another month of sailing but was too late in booking my haul-out date.

I'll still visit her on the hard for the next few weekends to "look" at the projects I put off for this moment.

Never put off till tomorrow that which you can put off till the day after

Yeah, we're kinda figuring on two, maybe three more weekends and then we're done, too . Haul-out isn't until Nov. 1, but we don't want to be waiting until the last minute to get the stick down and stowed, get 'er winterized, etc., as happened last season.

Season just beginning! Fall sailing on the Bay is the best time of the year then off to the Caribbean the first week of November.

Four more weekends - best sailing here is in the fall, too. Then I have to decide whether to winterize on the fifth weekend or take a chance on going a couple more weeks. We are driving to San Antonio after election day, will be gone two weekends. I hate to do it, but probably will give it up Nov 2. Better safe than sorry! I don't schedule the pull-out, because here on the Mississippi the safest place for my boat is in the water! Sudden flooding could carry it away if it's on shore. She's too big for a trailer, so I can't haul it away to a hilltop for safety! Next year will generate the memories - retiring, plan to live on the boat and wander!

Yep, a sad day's coming for all of us in the colder climates. I haul in December. We sail through November and usually drag an umbrella rig behind the boat this time of year in hopes of tagging a striper or two.

Only Four more weekends of sailing.
Last sail of the season is scheduled for October 25th.
We had a great year.
