You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Giu - just curious, what software do you use for the illustrations and editing? It's really effective.

Hmm. I wonder if SailNet would let him sell it here. Might make for a nice little side business

I am actually about thinking about doing a DVD, and am looking for ideas on how to film it and sell it. I ahve contacted someone here to help me with that..

I would love to make a DVD, really.

Smack, I just take films with my Cybershot camera, and make some small footage of stuff I think I will need for these...

then I make the drawings in paintbrush with my mouse, and for an animation, just add the stuff..then put all together in Microsoft Moviemaker, and once the images are all done, I talk over them...

I have changed the startegy..the early ones I put the images first then talk..now I actually writte what I want to say, then complete with the images..must better and easier, and I don't forget about what I want to talk about

Very cool. You've got a good eye. I especially like the edit on the head sail video where you go from the panning video shot to the still of the starboard rail. Well done!

Let me know if you need help putting it together. I have a Mac at home and iDVD makes it extremely easy to put everything together and make nice looking menus. It might not be professional quality but it would be enough to get the concept right.
