Sorry to hear about you cancellation, Smack. I feel the same way...work is simply a means to support my sailing therapy/habit/addiction.

You definitely need to drag this thread out once per year, to ensure that Sailnet doesn't return to it's stodgy past of discouraging new sailors.

Re: LFS Proponents Have Lovely Outing

Heh-heh. Yeah, that was some of my best work. I definitely don't miss the general attitude of those days (nor a couple of the characters)...but I do sometimes miss the dust ups. Always kept things spicy. Good times.

In the end...time always proves who's right. And that would obviously be me. Booyah!

Hey Smack

We were able to set our old technology anchor with 1:1 scope in dangerous force 1 conditions. Does that count as a LFS?

Re: LFS Proponents Have Lovely Outing

Heh-heh. Those were the days Chall!

I am glad things have changed for the better around here since then. And things in LFS-land worked out like I figured they would. I was noticing yesterday there were over 1,100 sailors online at one point! That's pretty cool. SiNcity is definitely hopping. And FC is dead as a doornail! That's cool.

As for the anchor, cape, absolutely. As long as you had some porpoise pate while on the hook - you're in.
