37 now. Been sailing "large" boats since 1995. Had a child (boy) and lived aboard in SW Fl. SOld the boat, had another child and bought the next boat - gearing up to do it again soon. My oldest son was 5 days old when he was on our tub. You are never too young to start, and never too old. Dad just bought his first boat at 59 years young.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

54 YY, just bought first sailboat. Getting younger by the day. Well I was until I had to put the boat up for the winter. Now I'm aging faster than old cheese. But I'll reverse it in April and get young all over again.

ROFLMAO... besides the next kid might actually take after you instead of her...then she'd have two big babies to care for.
