Just turned twenty-five, I go out on the lake here in New Orleans once or twice a week on my Ranger 23. Haven't done any offshore cruising, but certainly look forward to it. If Phish doesn't come out with a great tour next summer, I am going to start getting out of the lake and into the coastal areas of LA, MS, AL & FL.

20 here. Working on getting my Grampian set up for some coastal cruising within the next few years. Unfortunately, I rotate between school in MI and work in NC (where the boat is) every three months. Makes everything a bit more difficult. Keep at it though, it'll be worth it.

Damn you guys started late... I started sailing around the age of EIGHT. A bit older than that now though...but getting a lot of my friends kids and such into the sport... so there's hope for the future.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I'm 47. Sail a Catalina 30 on the Hudson. Young compared to most of the old folks in my club. Russ

Yup, i started late. I bought my Pearson when right before i turned 21. I grew up in a powerboat family and they still fight with me on the sailboat. Never can get any of them to go out sailing.

Nah, that's your IQ...not your age.
