Val,
Not sure about the attalia, but on either side of the steps going down is a hand hold on my
Arcadia along with a link to a brochure with the floor plan. The Attalia is slighty longer, ie about 2', and a Joubert design vs Tony Castro for the Arcadia. Both are post fastnet IOR half tons, with the Attalia about 5 secs PHRF faster.
They will sail about on par with your C&C, as to where, when how etc. basic coastal racer cruisers, with some design specs for limited offshore work.
The forward companion way is nice, in that the port rear qtr berth does have limited standing head room, ie under 6' for my rig, and the starboard side is able to have the limited again headroom for a head, no shower for either from what I have seen. Nor hot water for that matter, other than what one heats on a stove.
The saloon is reasonably open overall for the size boat it is. One reason we got what we got 3 yrs ago vs boats of this size with a forward head. Having the head in the aft, does allow for a huge locker under the starboard cockpit seat.
Overall, fun boats. The Attalia shown is a later color scheme, I believe after banga punta was relieved of Jeanneau, and Chantileir took over. My boat had red stripes, and a few later models I know of have the orange and black colored boot stripes, ie about 86 and later. Beateau took over in 96 or there abouts.
