You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Smack...altough feeling a little ridiculous discussing this, what I meant was I did not recruit anyone before they showed up in Sailnet..then, off course, once they sowed up, I asked them tovote here for the Eurpies....

And your transalation is almost right...

And if I can get more Eurpies to vote for the Eurpies I will believe me...

Fred must win..

I didn't mean that you were recruiting people to join sailnet... just that you were recruiting your fellow portagees that were already here...

Sounds good to me. I'll let the voting public weigh in on this one as we head down the stretch.

In the mean time Giu - I think you nailed it on the head with this gem:

I only wish...

Maybe next year. OPB stuff just doesn't count in my book.

Hey Charlie! I hope things are going well with "Oh Joy". Keep at it dude. I for one would love to see you start a thread about your experiences fixing her up - with pics of your progress, etc. (if you haven't already). I'd follow that thread, and I bet we'd all learn a lot from the process.

In the mean time, I understand the OPB issue. But call up some of those crazy Westies nearby and get out when you can. All work and no play turns you into sailingdog. Heh-heh.

BTW - I'm also actually impressed that you didn't take up the MDB mantle with the whole "Portagee Incident" above. Pretty honorable, my man, pretty honorable.

Okay - we have just busted through 65 votes. And, the Eurpies seem to be pulling away. Just 22 days left.

Do they really have the Biggest Freakin' Sails in the whole damn world?
