MSL...he is entiteld to his opinion...as we all are....

Opinions are like "buracos do cu" (that's portuguese for the hole in the rear)...we all have one..even Mr. Conner.

If he doesn't like them..he has his reasons, maybe Jeff has his reasons, and maybe even I have my reasons...

We should keep an open mind in all of this..why not???

Then articulate them. When someone just states an unsubstanted opinion, particularly when it downs a very popular boat, their opinion isn't the only thing that shares a little in common with an @$$.

At least, that's my opinion!!!

Go J/30's!

Gui, Gui, Gui...I'm so disappointed. Do you see any fenders hanging off the boats in the above photo? Didn't think so. It's a race boat (and a weekender)!

There's only one thing for it - you need to come to New Orleans for some sailing. Obviously, you need help. It's a good thing for you I'm so charitable.

We'll even make you some frozen margaritas...

Nola...

Now that is serious sailing...is it a mechanical margarita maker? Or electric?

Now...before you get disapointed, (wich you should not be, you know me..I do not talk about boats, good or bad...), please google:

"federacao portuguesa de vela", then add "J24" after it...read..it's Portuguese.

enjoy

By the way..I just noticed you have a J30..only know the 24. Sorry

GUi-

I think that's a gasoline powered blender, using a weed whacker type engine. See this website. Looks like it has the same base as the one in the website I linked to. The guy in the red hat is trying to pull start it.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

That was on the first half of a 50 mile race. We drifted for the first 25 miles, averaging between 0 and 2.5 knots. Notice the light air spin trim. It was summer and nearly 100 degrees. There is simply no better time for a frozen drink. That blender will blend a brick - and it's loud! Best margaritas I ever had. By the way, once we got into the Mississippi Sound later that afternoon, the three of us on board got that J/30 to 11 knots SOG, which is the fastest I've had that boat (so far). No time for margaritas then.
