PHRF abbreviations

http://www.ussailing.org/phrf/Tool_%...021%202008.pdf

Looking through this list of boats I see:
IB Inboard
OB Out Board

but what does:
TM
SD
WK
BS
CWS
KTH
CUT

mean?
If someone has a master list that would be great as their are more.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

SD you are pretty close. ODR is One Design Rating. I think you are pretty close on all the others.

CWS refers to Dehler's Central Winching System, where all lines are led to a single winch central to the cockpit surrounded by clutches.

An interesting idea, but not that efficient since any line would have to be completely released before the next could be loaded. I suppose for cruising it may be OK, but tacks would be slower.

Here's a pic.. it may be more user friendly after all.. by the look of it here the genoa winches are not part of the CWS idea.. but all halyards etc are run to this location. - with a self tacking jib it could be a good singlehanded set up.... does take up a lot of room though.

How's your sweety supposed to cuddle up to you with that setup? No wonder he's single handing that boat.
